The object of this project is to give students a high-level working experience in the field of mechanics, one of the most important sectors of the Lecchese economy.
Selected senior students from Istituto Badoni have the opportunity to complete a “full-time”, week-long stage in one of Polo di Lecco sites, where they work side-by-side with researches in their current projects.
At the end of the stage, the students develop a project and make a presentation. These are weighed in their graduation marks.

These are the proposed themes:

• design of a 2 degrees of freedom mechanism for solar tracking

• experimental characterization of metallic materials and industrial quality control

• measurements of performances of thin film heaters used on a microbalance for space applications

• characterization of an instrument for quality control of PET bottles

• Development of algorithms to detect numbers from webcam's images.

• Development of Android application that iteract with Cloud enviroment.
