Biomechanical and robotics laboratory develops mechanical systems and robotic devices especially for rehabilitation and personal assistance using a multidisciplinary and mechatronics approach.

Furthermore the laboratory handles the design and developing of systems, methodology and equipment suitable for studying, testing and certification of prosthetic devices according to regulations or specialized procedures.

The Laboratory research fields focus on trajectory planning, kinematics and dynamics synthesis of mechanical systems, the developing of innovative actuation systems and the study of methodologies for actuation systems sizing.
